Collaborating with Bill and Bridget for their wedding was an absolute riot – I mean, come on, Bill had been my brother in law for six years already. When that text announcing their engagement buzzed on my phone, I audibly gasped (no texting and driving, folks!) as I was en route to a friend's bridal shower. Talk about a plot twist on the way to a party celebrating one bride to be – in moments i’d be celebrating another bride to be!

Post-bridal shower shenanigans, I promptly shot back my congratulations and strategically slipped in the fact that I'd be the creative genius behind their wedding invitations. Shameless, yes, but hey, they confessed they wouldn't have considered anyone else. Not because we’re family, mind you, but apparently, they're just big fans of my work. I'll take that compliment any day!

Our creative brainstorming session kicked off immediately, covering everything from save the dates to day-of stationery. I handed them a bit of homework – a sneak peek into their fall wedding aesthetic dreamscape – and the rest was a smooth ride. This project turned out to be a unicorn in the design world – minimal hiccups and no frantic reprints.

Save the dates? A breeze! Their photographer nailed capturing their quirks, making the photo selection a bit like choosing your favorite candy from a box. I sifted through their gallery, threw in my two cents on the perfect shot, and voila! The design was a walk in the park, with the only "obstacle" being Bill's "old man eyes" – his words, not mine. But hey, we made sure the font was so legible, even old eyes like Bill's could read it. Much love to you and your vintage peepers, Bill!

Bridget and Bill were the dream team of decisiveness. with their vision crystal clear, The design and final mock-up flowed effortlessly after our powwow. Bridget had a fall floral fixation and i was 100% there for it – incorporating blooms from her bouquet into a custom painting on the invitations for that touch of elegance. Pampas grass, not initially on the bouquet agenda, made a surprise appearance for a bohemian flair. This same design gracefully danced its way onto the welcome sign and place cards, ready to wow the 140(ish) guests on the big day.

But wait, there's more! An open bar with signature cocktails – cue the drool. We teamed up with the venue to curate the exact drinks and liquors for their concoctions, giving me the perfect canvas for their bar signs. Painting cocktails is like a visual cocktail party – close up, it's abstract art, but step back, and it's a realistic masterpiece.

Bill and Bridget, you rockstars, thanks for letting me sprinkle some creative magic on your BEAUTIFUL, FALL wedding. Love you guys!
